Kelowna General Hospital has a Tier 4 dedicated Pediatric Medical Unit and operates 10 inpatient beds. A dynamic interprofessional team works alongside the Pediatrician providing exceptional pediatric patient care. The Pediatric Unit is also home to a Rapid Access Pediatric Clinic and hosts multiple BC Children’s Hospital subspecialty outreach clinics. The Tier 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) operates 14 inpatient beds and provides care to newborns from 30 weeks gestation and onwards. The number of births at Kelowna General Hospital exceed 1800 per annum and our hospital serves as a referral site for high risk newborns or those in need of escalation of care.
